Happy Tolkien Reading Day!
March 25, 2010
Happy Tolkien Reading Day! March 25, the day that Frodo and Sam were brought out of the ruins of Mordor and the start of the year in the Kingdom of Gondor, is a good day to celebrate by reading your favorite Tolkien passages.
This weekend is the City Centre Spring Market, where I’ll have a booth. It looks like a beautiful spring weekend is in the offing — come out and say hi and look at the art!
This weekend is also ComicPalooza at the George R. Brown convention center. My partner will be there, running the Pegasus Publishing booth.
It’s a great weekend for art in Houston; in addition to the City Centre Spring Market mentioned above, there’s also the Bayou City Arts Festival. Note: There’s no parking at the festival site — take the park-and-ride shuttle from downtown in the Museum District or from Northwest Mall.
I’m enjoying the gentle sound of wind chimes as I work. It’s a lovely day, and I may be taking advantage of it later to take some jewelry photos.
